Powersource hits it out of the park for RedStrong
Jim Herrick’s growing athletics training facility and the Powersource community held a fundraiser at the end of June to benefit TheRedStrongFoundation.org. The event raised an impressive 1,035 dollars that will help to provide college scholarships to deserving athletes, as well as help struggling local families offset the costs while battling cancer. We appreciate the Powersource Athletics Community so much and LOVE what they are all about!! RedStrong would also like to give a special thanks to Presto Pizza in Lunenburg for donating pizza for the fun filled day of competition. The support in this community is amazing! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU 🙂
REDStrong’s 3rd Annual scholarship winner: Evan Andrzejewski
The RedStrong Foundation is proud to award Evan Andrzejewski with the 3rd annual two-thousand dollar scholarship in memory of Richie Powers. On top of playing ice hockey and golf, his strong academics, good character, and the essay he wrote about his never give up moment, he caught the eye of the scholarship committee over his 26 competing peers. He plans to attend WPI in the fall where he still study engineering. Previous recipients: Ryan Potvin, Ed Cuddahy and Lucas Amico. Congratulations Evan and best of luck in all your future endeavors.
2017 Blood Drive
54 pints donated. Thank you to the Mall of Whitney Field for their generous donation and Our Lady of the Lake church for hosting this awesome event. The American Red Cross was very happy to receive all this blood. Thank you to all who came out! 
2017 REDSTRONG Scholarship award winner: Lucas Amico
On June 1st Leominster high school gave out scholarships totaling $287,000. The Powers family is so proud and it gives us great pleasure to be a part of that. Out of 20 applicants our recipient really stood out from the rest. We are pleased to announce the winner of this year’s 2017 Richie Powers REDSTRONG Scholarship went to Lucas Amico. Good luck to the class of 2017.

A fun day was enjoyed by prospering athletes who participated in soccer tennis, basketball, and cup stacking just to name a few. The kids had a great time and helped a great cause.

Cost: $5 per person. All proceeds go to the REDSTRONG Foundation. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.

- 2nd Annual ‘April Madness’ Soccer Tennis tournament starts at 11 AM. Everyone is welcome to participate.
- Lunch will be provided for everyone.

The 2nd Annual RedStrong blood drive will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church on Saturday, November 26th from 8:30-4:30. Last years drive was an amazing success thanks to Lauren Sciacca, a former field hockey player of my Mom’s. She is an incredible, miracle woman who puts her heart and soul into everything. Recently, she has found herself battling for her life, and RedStrong would like to help. Please come to support our friend Lauren and so many others in dyer need of blood. Save the date to donate and save a life because you just NEVER know! We also ask for you to just Pray. You can visit Lauren’s Love Fund to help her with medical costs.
